It is possible to translate an exam form into any language available for the current project according to the Item Bank configuration. You must meet the following prerequisites for the clone to work correctly:

  • The items contained in the source exam form, must have translated versions of the exam form including the Exam Language to which the exam form must be translated.
  • The items contained in the sections of the source exam form, must have translated versions of the exam form including the Exam Language to which the exam form must be translated.

The cloned and translated exam form is placed in the Draft state and includes the name of the original exam form prefixed with "Copy of". It contains all the translated versions items from the original exam form with the selected language code. If the exam form contained any sections, then the translated exam form contains similar sections with the names of the original sections suffixed with ".(Language Code)" (where the actual language code is displayed), each containing translated versions of the items (with the selected language code) from the original sections. In fact, such sections contained in the exam form being translated are also translated during the translation of the exam form.

  4. The cloned and translated exam form is placed in the Draft state and includes the name of the original exam form prefixed with "Copy of". It contains all the translated versions of the items from the original exam form for the selected language code. If the original exam form contains any sections, then the translated exam form also contains similar translated sections, each containing translated versions of the items (for the selected language code) from the original sections. If such translated sections do not already exist, then the sections from the original exam form are also translated and include the names of the original sections suffixed with ".(Language Code)" (where the actual language code is displayed), each containing translated versions of the items (for the selected language code) from the original sections. In fact, such sections contained in the exam form being translated are also translated during the translation of the exam form.
  5. A CSV report is also generated and downloaded, detailing the translation details.
  6. Save the translated exam form and edit it later if required to add more items, sections, and assets as required.

If the items contained in the source exam form (or within the sections contained in the exam form), do not have translated versions of the items for the language code to which the exam form must be translated, then the translation fails and the following error message is displayed.

The CSV report that is generated also includes the detailed translation errors.
