  2. Click the type of report you want to generate: HTML, Excel, or XML.
  3. If you choose Excel or XML format, the report is either download directly or a prompt may appear asking you to view or download the file, depending on your browser settings.

Pop-ups must be enabled in order to generate an HTML formatted report.

An HTML Question Report appears similar to the one shown below:

Items are listed one after the other according to the selected criteria with all the required details. Clicking the Download Report downloads a ZIP file containing the Question Report in HTML format for offline viewing and sharing.

Spreadsheet Asset values are not exported to XML for:

  1. A Spreadsheet Asset added to an items via Rich Text editor (in Stem, Answer Option, Block Text Metadata, or Comment).
  1. A Spreadsheet type item with "Score results" selected as "Manually through test driver".

Also, a Spreadsheet Asset added to a Case Text with default values (no modifications to its properties) is exported with its default values.

Why can't I see the Writer, Reviewer, and Validator information on my HTML report?

The Observer configuration option: Can observers see names of Writers, Reviewers, and Validators? controls this information. If this option is not selected, the names of the Writers, Reviewers, and Validators are not displayed on any HTML reports that are run for items.

When you export reference components in XML, HTML, or Excel, the component type for the reference is identified (item, distracter, or key). Also, if distracter or key values are set, the value set is exported.

If book references contain the Edition field, the reference is listed as Book title, # edition....

If Restrictions have been applied to a Fill in the Blank type item, a Restrictions table is listed below the Answer Option summarizing the restrictions.
